Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and Listingo for your use of listingo.co.in and its services. They apply to everyone:

• visitors who search for a business
• people who write reviews or contact businesses
• business owners who list with us

By using Listingo or creating an account, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What Listingo is

Listingo is an online directory of local businesses in India. It helps people find businesses, read and write reviews and contact businesses. It helps businesses publish a listing and reach customers.

Listingo is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000:

• Businesses and users write the listings, reviews, photos and messages on the site. They are responsible for what they post.
• We aren't a party to any deal between you and a business. We don't sell, deliver or guarantee the goods or services of any business listed.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Give accurate details and keep them up to date. You need a working email address, and you must confirm it before you can review or list a business.
• Keep your password private. You're responsible for everything done with your account, so tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
• One person, one account. Don't create accounts to get around a suspension or to post several reviews of the same business.

Using Listingo

You agree not to:

• post anything that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, hateful, threatening, or that invades someone's privacy
• post anything that infringes another person's copyright, trademark or other rights
• pretend to be another person or business, or claim a business you don't own or manage
• post fake reviews, reviews of your own business or a competitor's, or reviews given in exchange for money, discounts or gifts
• send spam, chain messages or unsolicited promotions through enquiries, messages or reviews
• copy listings or reviews in bulk, or scrape the site with automated tools, except through the official API under its own terms
• try to break into, overload or disrupt the site, or get around its security or usage limits
• upload viruses or any other harmful code
• use Listingo for anything unlawful, including anything banned by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021

Business listings

If you list or claim a business, you confirm that:

• you own the business or are authorised to act for it
• the information you publish is true
• the business meets our Listing Eligibility and Acceptability rules

You're responsible for keeping the listing up to date, including prices, opening hours and contact details, and for honouring the offers you publish on it.

Once a listing is live, a new business name, email address, website or address from the owner is checked by our team before it appears. We may correct obvious errors, such as a wrong category or a misplaced map pin. We may also refuse, hide or remove a listing that breaks these terms or the listing rules.

A listing may stay on Listingo after you stop managing it, because it shows public information about a real business. You can ask us to update it or mark it closed. If you are the owner, you can ask us to remove it.

Reviews

A review must be about your own, genuine experience with the business. You can write one review per business.

A business can reply to a review publicly but can't edit or delete it. We don't remove reviews because they're negative. We remove or hide a review only when it breaks these terms, for example if it:

• is fake
• is abusive
• is about the wrong business
• contains personal information
• was paid for

Anyone can report a review. Our team decides whether it stays.

Content you post

You keep ownership of the text and photos you post. By posting them, you give Listingo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to:

• host, store, show, resize, format and translate them
• share them, on Listingo and to promote Listingo, for example in search results or social media posts that show a listing

This licence continues while the content is on the site. For reviews, it also continues for any copies already shared before you removed them.

You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, and that it doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights.

How listings are ranked and paid placements

Search results show listings that match your search, category and city. By default, they're ordered by:

1. how closely the listing's name and description match the words you searched for
2. whether the listing's plan includes priority ranking (a paid feature)
3. whether the business is verified
4. its average rating, then its number of reviews

You can re-sort the results by rating, number of reviews or, if you share your location, distance. Listings with priority ranking still come first within the new order.

Businesses can also pay for placements, which are always labelled:

• "Featured" and "Sponsored" listings
• ads, labelled as ads

Paying never changes a listing's reviews or rating.

Paid services

Business owners can buy:

• plans
• featured placements
• badges
• ads

Prices and what each includes are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, and apply when you pay. Payments are processed by Razorpay.

• A plan or placement runs for the period you paid for and doesn't renew or charge you automatically.
• Paid ads are reviewed before they run and must follow the listing rules.
• Coupons follow the conditions shown with them, and only one coupon can be used per order.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund and Returns Policy.

We may change prices or plan features for future purchases. We'll show the change on the pricing page before it applies to you, and a period you've already paid for keeps what you paid for.

Intellectual property

The Listingo name, logo, site design, software and the content we create are owned by Listingo and protected by law. You may use the site for your own personal or business use. You may not copy, sell or reuse any part of it without our written permission.

If you believe content on Listingo infringes your rights, report it through the contact form or email our Grievance Officer at the address below. Include:

• the page link
• what the content infringes
• proof that you own the rights

Suspension and removal

We may do any of the following if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect our users or Listingo from harm:

• remove content
• unpublish a listing
• limit features
• suspend or close an account

When we can, we tell you why and how to fix the problem. Paid services removed for breaking these terms aren't refunded. You can stop using Listingo at any time and ask us to close your account.

Disclaimers

Listings, reviews and offers come from businesses and users. We check listings against our rules and act on reports, but we can't confirm that every detail is correct or current. Check important details, such as prices, licences and opening hours, with the business directly.

A "Verified" badge means the owner showed us they run the business. It doesn't mean we recommend or guarantee the business.

We work to keep Listingo running smoothly, but we provide it "as is". We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Listingo isn't liable for:

• losses that result from your dealings with a business you found on the site
• content posted by others
• indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data

If we are found liable to you in connection with a paid service, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against Listingo because of content you posted or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from that claim.

Complaints and Grievance Officer

If you have a concern about content on Listingo or about these terms, contact our Grievance Officer at [email protected], with "Grievance" in the subject line. You can also write to 4th Floor, Tower B, Cyber Hub, DLF Phase 2, Gurugram, Haryana 122002, India.

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. Where the law requires faster action, for example for content that exposes someone's private images, we act within the time the law sets.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We'll first try to settle any dispute informally through our Grievance Officer. If it can't be settled that way, the courts at Gurugram, Haryana, have exclusive jurisdiction. This doesn't take away any right you have as a consumer to approach a consumer commission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Listingo changes or when the law requires. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects your rights, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using Listingo after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
